Responsibilities for Treasury Check Controls Analyst include but are not limited to:

  • Review daily check fraud alerts and exception activity.

  • Research supporting documentation and transaction details.

  • Make accurate and timely pay/no-pay decisions across multiple banking partners.

  • Escalate unusual, high-risk, or unresolved items appropriately.

  • Serve as backup support for assigned bank accounts and exception processing activities.

  • Monitor and track lockbox check deposits.

  • Research outstanding check and deposit items.

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.

  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to established financial controls.

  • Support the check fraud affidavit process.

  • Perform notarial duties as a licensed Connecticut Notary Public.

  • Complete required attestations and maintain documentation in accordance with established procedures.

  • Investigate and resolve operational issues related to check processing and treasury activities.

  • Maintain tracking logs, audit documentation, and process records.

  • Communicate with internal business partners and banking partners regarding exceptions and inquiries.

  • Meet daily processing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

  • Prioritize multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support team initiatives.

Candidates for Treasury Check Controls Analyst must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • Active Connecticut Notary Public Commission that must remain valid throughout the engagement.

  • Experience in banking, treasury, accounting, payments operations, or financial operations.

  • Experience reviewing financial transactions, reconciliations, or exception items.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including: Excel, Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Copilot

Pay Details: $29.16 per hour
