Job Description Job Title: International Trade Compliance ClassifierPay Rate: $40.00-45.00/hourLocation: Remote and/or Chatsworth, CA 91311 (onsite ideally 2 days per week but considering fully remote candidates)Area Code: 818Shift: 1stEmployment Type: Direct/W2#ExportCompliance #AerospaceJobs #ITARJob Summary:We are seeking a mid- to senior-level International Trade Compliance (ITC) Classifier to support classification of aerospace parts and technical data. This role reviews engineering drawings, specifications, and end-use to determine proper classifications under ITAR (USML) and EAR (CCL). You will partner with engineering, manufacturing, and compliance teams to ensure accurate, well-documented classifications, particularly for legacy parts no longer supported by the OEM.Key Responsibilities:Review drawings, specifications, and technical data to determine export classificationsClassify products and data under ITAR (USML) and EAR (CCL), including ECCN/USML categoriesDocument classification rationale and maintain audit-ready recordsSupport legacy part classification without OEM guidancePartner cross-functionally to understand part function and end useProvide guidance on export compliance, licensing, and restrictionsSupport audits and stay current on regulatory updatesRequired Qualifications:Working knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulationsExperience reviewing technical drawings and product documentationAbility to determine classifications based on form, fit, function, and end useStrong attention to detail and documentation skillsAbility to work cross-functionally and handle controlled data* Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Aerospace/defense classification experienceFamiliarity with legacy or sustainment programsExperience in manufacturing or engineering environmentsKnowledge of licensing, exemptions, or audit support*Experience with ERP or compliance systemsBelcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package.
