Adjunct Faculty - Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences Program (Part-time)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: This position pays $75 per hour. Other benefits include a customizable part-time work schedule and access to the RVU's library holdings.

Primary Purpose
Adjunct Faculty members for the Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences program deliver curriculum content for the MSBS degree on an as need basis.
Essential Job Functions
-
Deliver curriculum content for courses within theMaster of Science in Biomedical Sciencescurriculum including, but not limited to: Lectures, small group facilitation, panel presentations, student presentations

Participate in scoring assessment-related activities including, but not limited to: Course-related assignments, student presentations
-
Mentor students in a variety of skills, including but not limited to: Research projects, presentations, etc.

Other duties as assigned supporting the mission of the program and the university

Perform other duties as assigned.

Complies with all policies and standards
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-
Current expertise in one or more curriculum content areas of theMSBSdegree.
-
Knowledge and skill in the delivery of medical education.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Advanced degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
-
Good standing with all relevant regulatory and governmental boards and agencies.
-
Eligible for coverage by the University’s malpractice insurer if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in delivering curriculum content topre-health professions students.
-
Experience with teaching methods beyond traditional lecture methods (examples, team-based learning facilitation,research presentations,cased basedlearning).
Final applicant will be required to pass background check and drug screening.
