The candidate collaborates well with stakeholders inside and outside the company and demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement, both in their own skills and in internal processes.
Position Purpose:
Provides support in liquidity management, financial accounting, and financial analysis. Develop and implement business processes to claim tax credits available to TVA. Introduce and support improvement initiatives and related financial decision support. Master financial and operational systems related to financing and financial analysis, and the fundamentals of IRA tax credit application to TVA.
Principal Accountabilities:

Conducts financing analysis to evaluate or develop options for projects support and TVA financing, including traditional bonds, alternative financing, and structured project financing solutions
-
Create and maintain financial models for effective decision support, and coordinate with stockholders to collect and disseminate information

Delivers impactful analytical reviews to management based on robust economic, financial, and statistical analysis

Leads or supports the development of models to perform analytic leveraging historical data, benchmarking, financial and operational data.

Leads or supports cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques for business insights that will guide strategic decisions

Leads or supports projects focused on accelerating process automation across Financial Services
-
Leads or supports cross-organizational projects focused on strengthening finance and business acumen of the enterprise

Performs other functions to ensure the goals and objectives are met such as maintenance of assigned procedures/processes
-
Assists in TVA’s daily and weekly short-term funding and cash investment processes; executes short-term debt and investments transactions, and medium-term notes program transactions, and long-term debt issuances including alternative financing, as necessary

Assists the Director, Corporate Finance, Assistant Treasurer and other staff members with ad hoc analysis and special projects
Minimum Requirements:
Education — A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, statistics, business analytic, or a relevant degree is required. A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study, with related education, training & experience will be considered. An advanced degree (e.g. MBA) is desirable.
Experience — At least five years of experience in financial or operational management, economic analysis and business performance analysis, preferably including experience in the utility industry.
Certification/License, etc. professional designation (CFA, CPA, etc.) is desirable
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — Must have the ability to analyze complex financial and management problems and determine the most economical solutions. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of financial markets, financial systems and controls, and financial analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, to communicate clearly orally and in writing, and to influence when incumbent has no formal authority and lead cross-functional teams. Must be able to communicate effectively with management and other senior level professionals. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements and essential job functions.
