Job Purpose & Scope

This position is responsible for the credit underwriting of Powersports loan requests submitted by an approved network of dealers and correspondent lenders. It is a high touch customer contact; particularly with respect to loan decisions that have been rendered.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manages assigned credit transactions, ensuring the loan requests are handled efficiently and processed in a timely manager, consistent with the Bank’s policies and procedures.

  • Reviews Powersports loan applications and supporting documentation to determine credit worthiness of applicant(s).

  • Ensures accuracy of all information entered into the system and clearly documents rational of credit decisions.

  • Tracks, monitors, and reports activity on loan applicants and decisions.

  • Contacts the dealer to communicate loan decisions and/or gather additional information, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of understanding consumer credit.

  • Ability to understand and analyze the personal and business tax returns and/or financial statements of an applicant.

  • Ability to read and interpret consumer credit reports.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work well within a team environment.

  • Exceptional customer service skills are imperative.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be highly detail oriented.

  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends.

  • Ability to apply analytical skills when decisioning loans

  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor degree in Finance or a related field, preferred.

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in an underwriting capacity (indirect Powersports, marine/RV, or Automotive underwriting), preferred.

Job Expectations

Operate customary equipment and technology used in a business environment, with or without accommodation.
