Job Description About the Role: The Boring Mill position at Fischer Tool & Die is crucial for ensuring precision and quality in the manufacturing process. The primary end result of this role is to operate and maintain boring mill machinery to produce high-quality components that meet strict specifications. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and efficiency in the workplace. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the production team, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing operations. Ultimately, this role supports the company's mission to deliver exceptional products to our clients while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship. Minimum Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of machining experience - Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience - Proven experience operating boring mills or similar machinery. - Basic understanding of machining processes and techniques. Preferred Qualifications: - Technical certification in machining or a related field. - Registered Journeyman and/or comparable education - Excellent working knowledge of machining processes and in-depth understanding of tool and die manufacturing - Knowledge of machining, tool & die, modeling, programming, die cast process - Experience with CNC boring mills. - Familiarity with quality control processes and tools. Responsibilities: - Operate and monitor boring mill machinery to ensure optimal performance and quality output. - Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications. - Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime. - Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards. - Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
