Position Summary

As a member of the Shared Services Finance team, this role will lead core FP&A activities for an assigned business portfolio, including forecasting, budgeting, monthly close, financial reporting, and strategic planning. The Manager will partner with business and finance leadership to explain performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend cost management actions. The role will also serve as a force multiplier for the broader team by improving consolidated reporting, data quality and speed, and PMO governance. Success requires a leader who can drive accountability for deliverables and initiatives, influence across functions, and simplify and scale how the organization operates.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Budget Ownership

  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, monthly close, and strategic planning activities

  • Partner with business leadership to identify risks, opportunities, and cost management actions

  • Contributes to streamlining financial planning and analysis processes, enhancing data accuracy, and improving efficiency

Consolidated Reporting & Data Management

  • Own end-to-end consolidation of broader team reporting for $1B+ Shared Services budgets across 9 functional areas

  • Improve data quality & validation, reporting speed, and automation capabilities within Workiva reporting system

  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual reporting activities

  • Manage special finance projects and other ad-hoc requests as assigned

PMO & Central Office Management

  • Co-lead Central Office Management and PMO operating model

  • Coordinate across finance team to meet changing enterprise deliverables, deadlines, and leadership requests

  • Manage initiative governance, milestone tracking, and status reporting

  • Drive accountability and follow-through across initiative owners

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and scale how the organization operates

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, business planning, or a related finance discipline-
  • 3+ years of experience managing a budget or business portfolio through close, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning cycles, including identifying risks, opportunities, and key business drivers
  • 3+ years of variance analysis, cost management, financial modeling, and translating results into actionable business insights and recommendations
  • 2+ years of experience with SAP
  • A successful candidate should possess strong financial acumen, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, building stakeholder partnerships, and translating financial data into actionable business recommendations, presenting skills at executive level.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, including air travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in finance transformation, business operations, PMO governance, project management, or process improvement

  • Experience managing complex budgets and consolidating financial inputs across multiple functions

  • Working knowledge of enterprise planning, reporting, and data visualization tools such as S/4HANA, Anaplan, Workday, Workiva, and Tableau

  • Curious, adaptable, and collaborative team player with the flexibility to learn new functions, systems, and processes and take on evolving responsibilities

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management, Accounting or related field required; or equivalent work experience

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
