Job Description
Maintains operation of enterprise multi-user network attached storage systems, including coordination with engineers and cross-functional teams. Duties include (but not limited to):
General multi-vendor storage management, optimization, compliance, and storage object configuration and provisioning
Create and maintain documentation of the shared storage landscape
Serve as a trusted adviser to the end user, providing technical mentorship on NAS\SAN technology
Best practice storage provisioning to heterogeneous endpoints (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows, Linux, and VMware Virtualized servers)
Operational administration of highly available NAS\SAN environment (including installation, audit, baseline configuration, non-disruptive OS\firmware upgrades, maintenance, and performance monitoring)
Plan, document, and execute on data migrations in support of platform asset lifecycle management
Assist in storage capacity planning and performance headroom forecasting
Troubleshoot complex problems and recommend appropriate action, enlisting peer and vendor support as required
Develop, draft, and maintain policies and standards related to the use of enterprise shared storage resources
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

High level NetApp or Dell Storage expertise with mastery of appliance internals\feature set\proprietary OSes (OnTap [cDOT])
-
Must possess the experience and ability to participate in technical sessions, to lead projects that span multiple organizations, and to coordinate technical, implementation, and\or troubleshooting discussions

Strong understanding of data efficiency and protection technologies - deduplication, compression, compaction, snapshots, mirroring, vaulting, cloning
-
Highly proficient in CLI utilization within Linux\Unix or Windows, as well as various storage\networking disciplines
-
Participate in root cause analysis for significant problems and suggests clear recommendations for improvements
-
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with competing deadlines
-
Must be available for occasional after hours work as required for high profile changes and supporting implementation teams

Must be able to participate in on-call rotation
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
-
Experience with ITIL workflow methodologies including Incident management, Change management, and CMDB maintenance. Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus
-
General knowledge around Information Security controls and standards, e.g. NIST 800-171, 800-53, DFARS, CMMC
-
Technical knowledge of various storage technologies to include but not limited to modern NetApp and Dell lines
-
Proficient in at least one of the following scripting languages: PowerShell, Perl, or Unix shell

Able to demonstrate UNIX\Linux, Windows OS, and Virtualization proficiencies

Windows NTFS file system security, Microsoft DFS, Microsoft Active Directory groups and security

Knowledge of NAS\SAN protocols including NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI, FC

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
