Case Manager

Description

We are looking for a Legal Case Manager to join a growing forensic consulting firm in Irvine,. This position supports law firm clients by guiding matters from initial inquiry through expert engagement, helping ensure each case is matched with the right specialist and managed with care. The role is ideal for someone with legal interest or experience, enjoys client-facing coordination, and is interested in psychology or criminology. After an initial training period, the position offers a hybrid schedule with opportunities for long-term growth as the firm continues to expand.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and active law firm clients, leading intake conversations to understand case needs and timelines.

• Collect, organize, and track case-related records and supporting materials so matters can be reviewed efficiently and accurately.

• Present relevant expert backgrounds and qualifications to clients, helping align each matter with the most appropriate consultant.

• Manage the engagement process from selection through confirmation, including preparing documentation and securing signed agreements.

• Coordinate communication between clients, internal team members, and retained experts to keep assignments moving forward smoothly.

• Monitor multiple matters at once, maintain accurate case records, and follow up on outstanding items to meet deadlines.

• Provide high-quality client service by resolving issues proactively and anticipating next steps throughout the life of each case.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required - ideally in psychology, criminology, or political science.

• No plans to go to law school in the next 5 years

• At least 1 year of experience in case management, project coordination, administrative support, or a related client-facing role.

• Comfortability on the phone, regularly speaking with law firms
