Job Description

About the Role

Are you a master storyteller who knows how to make people stop scrolling? Mosaic is looking for a Digital Content & Social Media Specialist to translate our mission into powerful, everyday stories.

In this role, you won't just publish posts—you’ll create connection. You will craft engaging blog content, tailor platform-specific social media copy, oversee video vendor projects, manage online reputation, and use data to amplify the voices of the people we empower.

What You’ll Do

  • Tell Impactful Stories: Write and edit engaging weekly blog posts and scroll-stopping social media copy across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and our website.

  • Repurpose & Optimize: Take a single story and package it into multi-format assets tailored for specific channels to drive engagement, donor inspiration, and lead generation.

  • Manage Editorial Calendars: Proactively plan, maintain, and execute content pipelines to keep our messaging consistent and on deadline.

  • Lead Video Projects: Serve as the main liaison for video vendors—coordinating shoot schedules, giving feedback on edits, and delivering brand-aligned videos.

  • Protect Brand & Reputation: Monitor and respond to local Google Reviews with a compassionate, person-centered voice.

  • Drive Engagement through Data: Apply basic SEO/GEO best practices and analyze digital metrics to continuously refine content performance.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with internal teams and subject matter experts to uncover human-interest stories and support ad-hoc communications collateral.

Why Mosaic?

At Mosaic, we relentlessly pursue opportunities that empower people. Guided by our values of belonging, connection, faithfulness, and grit, we work together as One Mosaic to build caring communities where everyone has a voice.

Ready to create content that makes a real-world difference?

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, PR, or a related field.

  • Experience: minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in digital content or social media.

  • Social & Digital Native: Deep understanding of platform best practices across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and corporate blogs.

  • Conversational Storyteller: Exceptional copywriting and editing skills with the ability to ditch corporate jargon in favor of an authentic, accessible tone.

  • Self-Starter & Project Manager: Comfortable taking loose concepts and running with them, managing content calendars, and driving vendor deadlines.

  • Data-Informed: Familiar with standard engagement metrics, digital accessibility standards, and SEO techniques.

  • Mission-Driven Heart: A genuine passion for advocating for and serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
