Job Description

One of Insight Globals clients is looking for a Secret Lead Database Engineer and Administrator. This person will be the top technical authority on the CCIC2S Oracle/RHEL Tech Refresh. The project upgrades legacy systems to Oracle 19c and RHEL 9.7 with zero data loss and no disruption to the mission. Day to day, this person leads the database team: setting priorities, assigning work and getting ahead of risks before they slow the project down. They'll architect and lead the Oracle upgrade, including compatibility analysis, data migration strategy and performance tuning. They'll also help shape the RHEL migration plan, including kernel compatibility, package updates and security hardening. The role is still hands-on, with work like modifying schemas, loading static data, troubleshooting and improving database infrastructure. They'll also set coding standards and best practices for the team. They'll work closely with program leadership, architects, cybersecurity and development teams, turning mission requirements into technical solutions. The ideal person is a strong technical lead who has designed and run Oracle upgrades and RHEL migrations before.

This is a 100% onsite position in Colorado Springs with a pay range of $180,000 - $200,000. Please apply if interested!
