Description

My client has an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a role as the Controller of their non-profit organization located in Rockville, MD office. The ideal person selected for the Controller position will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, supervising the team, reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations, assisting with grant reporting, preparing various support schedules, supporting the annual audit, ensuring the non-profit organization is in compliance and assisting with other administrative duties as needed. Daily responsibilities of the Controller include:

• Oversee the accounting department.

• Assist with the annual single audit.

• Prepare grant schedules and reports.

• Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements.

• Ensure company is in compliance with regulatory agencies.

• Complete the month-end close process.

Requirements

The ideal Controller we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

• 7+ years of non-profit accounting experience.

• Experience with grants and single audits.

• Supervisory experience.

• CPA, preferred.
