Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
The Senior Product Analyst serves as a primary analytics partner to Product Management, independently executing complex state-level performance monitoring, root cause analysis, executive reporting, competitive intelligence insights, and business recommendations that help guide profitable growth strategies and improve business outcomes. You will also support Product Analytics' strategic objectives around competitive intelligence integration, automation, and AI-enabled analytics, all of which are intended to improve analytic depth, decision speed, and business impact. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Product.
In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Hopkins, MN 55305; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034

Primary Accountabilities

You will independently conduct complex analysis and provide insights and recommendations to leadership/management that affect profit and growth plan execution on an ongoing basis.

You will develop reports and analyses, evaluate alternative scenarios, and recommend strategies related to product development or enhancement, product language, underwriting guidelines, processes, and channel-specific business practices.

You will independently identify root causes and present actionable opportunities to improve product or business practices and procedures.

You will monitor the effectiveness of current products and recommend changes and/or enhancements to management, considering broader business implications.

You will formulate and execute complex operational analyses and scenarios, exercising judgment across multiple data sources to inform operational plans.

You may specialize in supporting complex pricing activities related to rate reviews, profit and loss ratio-based reviews, experience rating programs, post-implementation monitoring, or product and underwriting actions.

You will research and evaluate philosophies and strategies that support growth and long-term profitability goals, applying insights across states or programs.

You will translate complex business questions into clear analytical requirements and recommendations.

You will build effective working relationships with product, state management, pricing/actuarial, underwriting, claims, and other partners and build consensus on recommended actions.

You will lead defined analytical projects or smaller workstreams and identify opportunities to improve or automate recurring analysis and reporting processes.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
-
Demonstrated experience applying advanced capabilities in PC software applications, Microsoft Office products, and analytical or reporting tools.

In-depth knowledge and understanding of insurance product design and underwriting concepts in area of expertise.
-
In-depth knowledge and understanding of market research and marketplace trends in insurance coverage.
-
Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management methodologies, metrics, practices, techniques and tools, including leading defined projects or smaller workstreams.
Additional Qualifications
-
Demonstrated advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience investigating variances, validating results, and communicating actionable recommendations.

Ability to work independently on complex assignments with minimal guidance and proactively surface risks and broader business implications.

Advanced experience with SQL or BigQuery, Excel, dashboard or visualization tools, PowerPoint, competitive-intelligence tools, or AI-assisted analytical workflows.

Demonstrated experience with personal lines products, product monitoring, rate reviews, root-cause analysis, or cost-benefit analysis, including insights across states or programs.
