Kiewit Engineering Group Inc., has a position in Lone Tree, CO. Structural Engineer - DUTIES: - Prepare designs for assigned structure(s) including research, analysis, and drawing preparations for steel and foundations that are large and complex including dynamic foundations. Utilize Kiewit Engineering Design Tools to execute the design. Advise peers and sub-ordinates on proper application of Tools. Help oversee the development of Tools (e.g., Lessons Learned database, Wiki, TeamBinder, Kiewit Engineering Design Standards). Apply department and industry standards when preparing calculations, project drawings, and project specifications. Meet or exceed the requirements of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract, customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), professional service agreements, or other contractual requirements. Coordinate with internal and external partners including cross-discipline, construction, vendors, fabricator(s), and owners to address structural-related issues or concerns. Track budgeted hours and schedule to complete assignments. Understand the scope of the project assignment. Recognize when additional resources are needed. Hybrid Work Schedule: 3 days per week in office and 2 days per week from home within normal commuting distance. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, or related field and 8 years of experience. Also, 5 years of experience stated herein to involve: (1) engineering software, including SAP2000, SAFE, RISA 3D, RISA Connection, or Mathcad; (2) knowledge of engineering standards including ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360, and IBC; (3) steel design, connection design, and concrete design; and (4) reviewing, checking, and signing off on peer engineers' calculations. PE License required. ** ** ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept a Master's degree in Structural Engineering, or related field and 6 years of experience. Also, 3 years of experience stated herein to involve: (1) engineering software, including SAP2000, SAFE, RISA 3D, RISA Connection, or Mathcad; (2) knowledge of engineering standards including ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360, and IBC; (3) steel design, connection design, and concrete design; and (4) reviewing, checking, and signing off on peer engineers' calculations.
