Diagnostic Imaging Filing Clerk

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, performs the necessary duties relating to the processing of images, with extensive use of computer systems and applications.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepares Images for Interpretation.

• Prioritizes, organizes and responds to STAT requests.

• Distributes and retrieves X-ray jackets.

• Utilizes multiple computer systems

• Prepares x-ray jackets: maintains x-ray files; repairs or replaces worn x-ray jackets as necessary.

• Hangs films for Interpretation by Radiologists.

• Promotes, ensures and improves customer service to internal/external customers by demonstrating skills which are consistent with the organizations philosophy of providing extraordinary customer relations and quality service.

• Duplicates Images as requested.

• Barcodes standard reports.

• Performs other duties as requested.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

• Must be proficient in extensive computer skills (keyboarding, mousing, etc.) and working successfully with web-based computer applications. Typing 20 wpm. Must be able to file alphabetically and numerically. Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, push and lift. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and organize. Must pass Chart Room test.
