JOB DESCRIPTION McRAE FOOTWEAR JOB TITLE: Service Person - Lasting and Bottoming Department LOCATION: 1737 Hwy. 24-27 West, Troy, N.C. TEAM COACH: Lasting Department Supervisor Basic Job Description The Service Person- Lasting and Bottoming Department may perform any, or a combination, of production support jobs as needed in the Lasting and Bottoming Departments. This role supports departmental workflow by moving work into, within, and out of the department; keeping required lasts available and properly stored; assisting operators by selecting/distributing materials (including outsoles) and supplies; installing and removing lasts as required; inspecting boots in accordance with quality specifications after bottoming operations; and performing other related operations as directed by the Department Team Coach. Coaching and training for this position are provided and coordinated by the Lasting Department Supervisor. Job Objective To efficiently perform the assigned production tasks in accordance with the quality and quantity standards as established by the Company. To work as a team member to produce a sufficient quantity of acceptable first quality boots so as to contribute to the overall profitability of the Company and to provide the highest earnings possible for the employee. The position holder should: - Support harmonious relations and good teamwork with co-workers, Team Coaches, and managers. Constantly strive for improvement in the performance of job duties. - Willingly and enthusiastically cooperate with, assist, and support the immediate Team Coach in his/her efforts to achieve the highest level of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction for the subject area of responsibility. {=html} - Abide by the work rules and rules of good personal behavior as required by Company policy; and to support the Company, its policies, rules, and regulations. Other Duties 1. Prepare time and production records as required. 2. Perform other duties as assigned by Team Coach. 3. Clean up work area daily. 4. Follow all safety rules and regulations; Use all required safety equipment. Report any safety issues to Team Coach. Essential Job Functions 1. Keep appropriate size lasts available in specified locations for use by operators. 2. Return lasts to bins when not needed for the current production schedule. 3. Put lasts in boot uppers and remove/pull lasts from boot uppers as required. 4. Move racks of boots between lasting and bottoming operations and into and out of the departments as necessary. 5. Keep cases of boots in correct bins in the mulling room (as applicable). 6. Select and distribute appropriate sized outsoles and other materials to operators as required. 7. Inspect boots in accordance with quality specifications after the bottom has been attached (as applicable). 8. Perform various other departmental operations such as pulling tacks, tacking on insoles, forming insoles, and repairing/dumping lasts as requested. 9.
