Full job description

Job Description

The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating patient appointments and treatments in an efficient and timely manner. This position supports a busy oncology practice with a primary focus on scheduling chemotherapy and infusion appointments, managing patient schedules, coordinating referrals and authorizations, and serving as a liaison between patients and clinical staff. The Scheduler supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Skills and Requirements

  • 1+ years scheduling for gastrology, oncology, radiation, urology, or surgery. OR 3+ years of scheduling in a generic practice.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and interruptions. -Experience using scheduling systems, EMR, or related healthcare software. -Strong communication and customer service skills.

-Willing to travel occasionally to sister sites for extra support. Experience with insurance authorizations, referrals, or specialty healthcare scheduling.
