Job Description

URPOSE: This resource will design and develop all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment and machinery for our clients, end clients. They can be responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.

Skills and Requirements

Water/Wastewater process experience preferred: Water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, chemical feed, filtration, aeration, disinfection, and sludge processes. Process controls knowledge: Able to understand control narratives and P&IDs and translate process requirements into controls system design/programming. Instrumentation: Experience with flow, level, pressure, pH, chlorine, turbidity, etc. Should be able to specify/select these instruments, incorporate them into electrical schematics and instrument loop drawings, configure them, program them, and troubleshoot them in the field. PlantPAx experience preferred: Rockwell’s process/DCS platform using ControlLogix and FactoryTalk. We’re looking for actual development/commissioning experience with PlantPAx, not just exposure to a system that uses it. Core controls skills: Rockwell PLCs (other PLC platforms are a plus), HMI/SCADA, VFDs, motor control, industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, fiber), and electrical controls schematic design. Field experience: Startup/commissioning, I/O checkout, and hands-on field troubleshooting. Working style: Self-directed, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, comfortable making technical decisions, working in the field, and communicating directly with customers. Travel/office expectations: Willing to travel for startups/commissioning and work in the office for the first 6 months of employment. Secondary industry fit: Strong process controls experience in food & beverage or similar process industries would also be considered. Vision experience with Cognex and/or Keyence cameras Any robotics experience
