Full job description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Powertrain Calibration Engineer to join their team. As a Powertrain Calibration Engineer, you will be part of the propulsion and powertrain calibration effort supporting vehicle certification readiness. The ideal candidate will have strong control and calibration experience, a solid background in powertrain systems engineering, and the drive to deliver accurate calibration results that support regulatory emission standards and customer requirements.

Job Title: Powertrain Calibration Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Onsite)

Pay Range: $30 - $35/hr

What's the Job?

  • Calibrate and validate functions associated with propulsion systems to achieve compliance with emission standards.

  • Conduct vehicle testing and development under various environmental and tolerance conditions to meet certification requirements.

  • Deliver calibration at program milestones in accordance with client procedures for the relevant technical areas.

  • Verify correct integration of basic settings recommended by design.

  • Support propulsion calibration activities that align with regulatory emission standards and customer expectations.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.

  • Powertrain Systems Engineering experience developing Engine HW, Controls/SW, Calibration.

  • Drivability and Emissions calibration experience, including Hybrid Powertrain calibration experience.

  • Knowledge of INCA/AVL CRETA or similar calibration management tools.

  • Knowledge of advanced data processing tools such as MATLAB Simulink, plus engine and vehicle environment knowledge and emission standards experience.
