Summary
CHENEGA MANUFACTURING SERVICES, LLC
Panama City, FL
The Buyer shall assist with manufacturing engineering initiates. Will document and maintain procedures and practices; support manufacturing management staff as indicated; and responsible for establishing and meeting daily goals.
Responsibilities
-
Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMS) and routers.

Document all BOM and routers changes using Manufacturing Change Request forms.

Initiate and maintain Estimate Requests (e.g., acquires estimates from applicable manufacturing departments) and bid packages for approved manufacturing.

Enter new part numbers in the inventory management system item master as required.

Primary backup of a Plans and Scheduling Tech and is able to perform all duties.

Create and maintain work instructions as directed.

Assist with the sourcing of materials and vendors to support engineering updates to products and bids.

Maintain assigned workplace, materials and equipment in a safe, secure and neat condition.

Work cooperatively and constructively with subordinates, supervisors, vendors, customers and general public to promote and achieve the most cost-effective and ethical goals of the company.

Become familiar with and comply with CIS Standard Operating Procedures, ISO Personnel Policies and Procedures, Affirmative Action Plan, and the systems, procedures and equipment applicable to the incumbents work assignment.

Bring to the attention of his/her supervisor any incidents, conditions and/or other matters which may inhibit the cost-effective and ethical performance of the incumbents work assignment or which could adversely affect the Companys business and/or reputation.

Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Minimum five (5) years experience in manufacturing or related production experience performing similar duties.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Successfully pass background and drug screening.
-
Government contracting experience, preferred.
-
Experienced in manufacturing software (MRP) or (SAP)
-
Experience with reading and understanding technical drawings and Bills of Material
-
Familiar or experienced in ISO9000 QMS or equivalent quality system.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and Bills of Material
-
Basic reading, visual inspection, and basic math skills
-
Basic computer skills to include data entry and familiarization with the Microsoft Suite
