Job Description:

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Office Assistant III, you will apply your professional judgment, proactive approach, and strong attention to detail to ensure all task requirements are fully met.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Use knowledge of correspondence, document processing, records, files, and reports and ensure accuracy of all official outgoing correspondence through detailed quality checks and data verification

  • Scan, identify and annotate various sections of electronic case files

  • Perform quality checks of all Professional Case Review Panel Packets (PCRP) to ensure accuracy prior to being sent to Navy Medicine leaders

  • Prepare professional case review panel packets as data becomes available in anticipation of panel reviews

  • Take inventory of all hard copy and electronic medical malpractice cases/active-duty cases

  • Review access database for empty entries of cases

  • Update monthly medical malpractice claims case reports

  • Facilitate continuous flow of cases through the National Practitioner Database (NPDB) process by checking the status of active cases.

  • Document in/out correspondence in the NPDB with follow-up

  • Monitor provider response deadlines and facilitate receipt of information

  • Update desk manual by documenting changes/updates for program support and consistency

  • Prepare and submit cases to the Chief Quality Officer and the Surgeon General (SG)

  • Participate collaboratively with NPDB team weekly to prioritize cases, establish time-saving strategies, and discuss deadlines & assigned tasks

  • Update weekly status report to capture progression of each case

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education : Associate’s degree in a related field

  • Required Experience : 3+ years of experience

  • Required Technical Skills : Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS); Ability to use office equipment, computer technology, and automated business systems

  • Attributes to Success : Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills; Proactive self-starter who has attention to details and able to effective work both independently and in a team environment

  • Preferred Technical Skills : 4+ years of experience; Prior DHA or Navy military experience.

  • Location : Falls Church, VA onsite

  • Travel: None

  • Security Clearance Level: Must currently have a T3 (Secret)

  • US Citizenship Required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.95 - $35.11. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
