Job Overview

Work in cafeteria and/or dish room maintaining a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness.

Lift up to 60 pounds and ability to meet high standards for sanitation and cleanliness. Experience in food service preferred but not required. High school graduate or equivalent.

Demonstrate the values of the college through prompt and courteous service.

Assist with food preparation and serving as directed.

Operate cash register transactions to include cash, debit/credit, and meal plan cards.

Assist with serving during hours of operation.

Work collaboratively with all cafeteria staff and work study.

Maintain the food service area in accordance with state regulations (dishes, pans, etc.).

Assist in utensil and equipment washing in compliance with state regulations.

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas in accordance with state regulations.

Attend college meetings and serve on committees as requested.

Promote cafeteria services to college employees and students.

Report needed repairs of kitchen equipment to the Cafeteria Manager.

Must be willing to assist college work study employees as needed.

Must be able to demonstrate effective practices of maintaining privacy and security of vendor, employee, and student information.
