Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Special Proc Technologist, you will be a vital clinical professional, applying specialized X-ray energy for patient diagnosis or treatment.

Every day, you'll meticulously perform complex radiological procedures and techniques, producing high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. You'll ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning, operating advanced equipment with precision and upholding imaging standards.

To be successful, you'll combine strong technical expertise with exceptional attention to detail, a deep understanding of radiation safety, and a compassionate, patient-focused approach, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.

  • Transfers and positions patients safely. Measurement: Observation, Feedback.

  • Performs special angiographic, interventional radiology procedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors.

  • Exercises quality control for imaging procedures and maintains the prescribed standards of quality. Measurement: Observation, Feedback.

  • Ensures the proper transfer of images online including correct labeling of procedures. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Image quality.

  • Troubleshoots the equipment and cooperates with service personnel in order to maintain minimal downtime. Responsible for initiating service calls on all equipment assigned to the area as needed. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Equipment condition.

  • Accepts responsibility for all radiation safety regulations and enforces departmental and hospital rules and regulations. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Experience as an interventional radiology (IR) technologist, and

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience asan interval radiology / radiologictechnologist with specialty fields ofangiographic, vascular, and

  • CA Medical Radiographer, upon hire and

  • CA Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech, upon hire and

  • American Heart Association BLS-CPR, within 30 Days and

  • American Heart Association ACLS within 30 Days and

  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or

  • Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire or

  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or

  • Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire or

  • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or

  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or

  • Registered Technologist Quality Management, upon hire or

  • Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, upon hire or

  • Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, upon hire or

  • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire

Preferred

  • Experienced in multiple lab operationswithin complex acute care setting. Alllevels of IR including Neuro interventional.

  • Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire

Pay Range

$55.81 - $65.75 /hour
