The Procurement Engineer for Lunar Systems, formerly Astrobotic Technologies, is responsible for supporting the acquisition of required goods and services by effective management of source selection, open purchase commitments, negotiations, and supplier/subcontractor relationships. The position reports to the Director of Supply Chain and is part of the Supply Chain Department based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is hybrid based in Pittsburgh, PA . In this role, the essential functions are: Perform sourcing tasks of all types of goods and services needed for Voyager Lunar Systems, including, but not limited to, flight grade and engineering models of avionics, mechanical components, and electronic components, as well as ground support equipment, engineering analysis services, and manufacturing tools and equipment. Conduct negotiations, with management support, to secure favorable terms and conditions, price, and schedule with suppliers. Perform source selection based on established best value criteria. Ensure program requirements are appropriately prioritized and executed to meet needs. Interpret engineering data such as specifications, drawings, and statements of work to facilitate effective communication between internal project teams and suppliers.
