Integration / .NET Developer

Job Description

We’re looking for a strong C# / .NET engineer to own integrations, not payment processing. You’ll design, build, and maintain the services and APIs that connect internal systems to third-party platforms. Payment integrations can be part of the work, but you will not be hands-on with payment processing. You’ll work with Product, Architecture, and multiple business units, and use AI coding tools such as Claude Code in day-to-day development.

Location: Lincolnshire, IL (hybrid, 2–3 days on-site, flexible)

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain integration services and APIs using C# and .NET / .NET Core

Integrate internal systems with third-party APIs and platforms

Build reliable workflows, including retries, error handling, and failover

Support deployments, bug fixes, and day-to-day integration issues

Monitor production integrations and troubleshoot failures

Partner with Product, Architecture, and business units to turn requirements into technical solutions

Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and Agile delivery

Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, using AI coding tools such as Claude Code where they speed up the work

Pay Rate: $65-80/hour

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience

Strong proficiency in C# and .NET / .NET Core

Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs

Hands-on experience integrating with third-party systems or APIs

Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar)

Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills

Strong communication skills and comfort working across business units

Comfort using AI coding tools such as Claude Code

Local to the Chicago area and able to be in the Lincolnshire office 2–3 days a week Event-driven systems or messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus)

Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

Exposure to payment integrations, without owning payment processing

Agile / Scrum experience (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
