Assistant Girls Basketball Coach (26-27)

QUALIFICATIONS: * A coach for a WVSSAC sport must be certified as a teacher (or substitute) in the State of WV or complete the National Federal Interscholastic Coaches Education Program as endorsed by the WVSSAC and the State Board of Education, and receive a coaching authorization issued by the WV Department of Education. * Must also have or be willing to get current CPR/AED certification. * Applicants must be fully credentialed professionals or substitutes or hold a valid WVDE coaching certification before participating in ANY WVSSAC sport coaching duties. * Call 304-843-4400 x310 for information on how to start the process or renew your existing certification. * Also, visit the MCS BOE website, and then click Links, Employee Resources, and scroll down to find coaching certification and CPR/AED class information. * Coaching duties must not interfere with other contracted duties held by the successful applicant, and the successful applicant must be available for practice and game times and dates as determined by the principal. * No names will be taken to the board for approval without valid certification. ** SALARY: Salary to be determined by salary classification level, experience, and education according to schedule at https://boe.mars.k12.wv.us/o/mcs/page/salary-schedules. * Coaches new to MCS must prove their past coaching experience through verification of employment forms sent from previous employers to our payroll department.
