Design Engineer Intern

We are looking for a Design Engineering Intern to join our Target Rock team in the Design Engineering Department! The intern is needed now (Fall Internship) We can work around your school schedule.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY.

Hourly pay: $20-$25 an hour

Your Challenge

  • Develop and apply design engineering skills alongside Design Engineers through the following methods:

  • Design and develop fixtures, tooling, and production hardware as needed to support Target Rock's operations departments.

  • Generate 3D models of parts and assemblies in CAD.

  • Create technical 2D detail and assembly drawings with appropriate tolerancing methods.

  • Work alongside Design Engineers to support design and development projects to achieve on-time completion of milestones.

  • Assist in the maintenance and revisions of existing Target Rock products and drawings through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).

  • I-deas to NX CAD file migration: Design Engineering is currently in the process of migrating files from an older CAD program that is no longer supported, to the current NX program.

What You Bring

  • Must be a US citizen

  • Actively pursuing Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Nuclear

  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Mathcad
