Workday Financials Architect

Job Description

A state and local client is seeking an experienced Workday Financials Architect to support a recently implemented Workday Financials environment. This individual will serve as the functional lead for post-go-live stabilization, helping the organization resolve production issues, optimize financial processes, and support ongoing business operations. The ideal candidate will have deep Workday Financials expertise and be comfortable working directly with Finance leadership, Accounting teams, Procurement, and vendors to improve system performance and user adoption.

Skills and Requirements

4+ years of Workday Financials experience. Strong hands-on configuration experience within:

• Accounting Center / Accounting
• Accounts Payable
• Supplier Accounts & Contracts
• Procurement
• Banking & Settlement Experience supporting a Workday Financials environment after go-live. Strong troubleshooting and production support experience. Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into Workday Financials solutions. Experience supporting finance operations, accounting teams, and procurement functions. Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with executive and functional stakeholders. Customer Accounts & Contracts Strategic Sourcing Grants Management Budgeting Workday Reporting Workday Integrations Public Sector or State and Local Government experience
