Requirements: 1. High School Diploma Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Batch compilation: 2. Collect and organize samples for sample preparation using production management tools 3. Collect and organize calibration/control/internal standard/blank materials for sample preparation 4. Compile and label tubes/vials for sample preparation 5. Transport batch delivery and pick-up from testing departments 6. Retrieve & transport specimens under COC from Processing to Lab 7. Re-stock laboratory supplies as needed 8. Monitor equipment maintenance through TempTrak; clean and respond to alerts as needed 9. Re-locate samples/QC materials in the event a unit goes down 10. Participate in departmental meetings and projects 11. Maintain regular and reliable attendance 12. Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 1. Knowledge of chain of custody procedures 2. Exhibit professional and effective interpersonal skills 3. Possess good organizational skills 4. Ability to read and comprehend company procedures and apply them to work operations 5. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy 6. Must be flexible in scheduling and available for overtime as required 7. Good customer service focus and ability to work as part of a team 8. Ability to adapt to change 9. Clear, neat and legible penmanship Physical Demands 1. Ability to talk, hear, stand, reach with hands and arms, and use hands and fingers to manipulate instrument/equipment controls, computer keyboard, office equipment, objects, or tools 2. Moving from one work location to another to sit and stand, sometimes for extended periods of time 3. Vision (with correction) including color, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus 4. Lifting objects up to 10 lbs. 5. Ability to travel as needed for court testimony and/or training. 6. Exposure to intermittent or constant sounds generated by equipment. 7. Exposure to fumes, noxious odors and dust. 8. Handling of biological material and blood-borne pathogens. 9. Handling of toxic or caustic chemicals.
