Are you ready to build your electrical skills while supporting the construction of the most advanced naval vessels in the world? Ingalls Shipbuilding is seeking Electrical Journeyman Candidates who have hands‑on experience with electrical installation or repair — and want to continue advancing into higher‑level electrical craft roles.

As an Electrical Journeyman Candidate, you’ll assist in installing and repairing marine cable systems, support the connection of lighting and power equipment, and work with electrical drawings and schematics. Your developing expertise directly supports the systems that bring each ship to life.

If you're ready to grow your electrical craft at “America’s Shipyard,” a rewarding career at Ingalls Shipbuilding — Mississippi’s largest private employer — is waiting.

  • Support installation and connection of lighting fixtures, panels, receptacles, and electrical power equipment

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical measurement devices

  • Read and follow drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic layout instructions

  • Work in shipboard environments that may include heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions

  • Support production needs across multiple shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment

  • Follow Ingalls’ strong electrical safety standards in all work areas

Why This Work Matters
