Responsibilities
Summary:
Provides professional knowledge and expertise in the operation and support of environmental health and safety programs in compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and institutional policies. Responsibilities will include the coordination and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment, in support of departmental and institutional safety programs.
Job Duties:

Responsible for implementation and administration of the Environmental Health and Safety Program by all company federal, state, and air station directives, regulations, and laws.

Reports directly to the Site Manager on all.

Act as liaison with representatives of Base Safety, Fire Department, OSHA, and other government.

Represent the company during inspections and audits, including corporate EH&S audits, OSHA inspections, Navy Crane Center inspections, etc. Recommends appropriate corrective action for any discrepancies identified.

Works with subject matter experts to develop new or modify old safety equipment as needed to support our employees.

Conduct work site surveys and facility inspections to ensure facility and procedural compliance with applicable regulations.

Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of all required records and reports applicable to safety programs.

Coordinate the use and care of personal protective equipment, etc. Ensure adequate quantities of PPE are available.

Monitor investigations of all incidents/accidents and recommend corrective.

Investigate safety-related concerns and complaints reported by.
-
Determine medical surveillance requirements for workers exposed to specific hazards by OSHA and Government/ Company requirements. Coordinate and track hearing evaluations, audiometric testing, and reporting requirements under the Hearing Conservation Program.

Act as company representative at customer safety.

Coordinate the local NTWL Aviation Safety Committee meeting and publish the meeting minutes.

Maintain company safety bulletin.

Periodically monitor the aircraft move crew when operating inside.

Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work.

Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.

Assist in ensuring the safety, security, inventory, and preservation of Government-owned and company-owned equipment.

Adhere to and enforce all Company and Government regulations to ensure personnel safety and the security and preservation of Government and Company-owned equipment.

Perform all other position-related duties as well as other projects and initiatives.

Maintains the highest ethical, personal, and professional.

Available to work alternating shifts.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or four(4) years of additional experience as a Safety Professional in lieu of.

Minimum of six(6) years of experince as a Safety Professional.
-
Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations, Navy OPNAV 5100.23M safety standards, practices, procedures, policies, programs.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level clearance.

Must have a valid US state drivers licencse.

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation for locations in the state of Maryland and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
