Description

We are looking for an entry level HR Recruiting Coordinator to support recruiting operations and maintain accurate hiring data for a manufacturing organization in Aurora, Illinois. This position plays an important role in keeping requisitions, postings, and candidate records organized so the hiring process stays efficient and compliant. The ideal candidate brings strong HRIS knowledge, reporting capability, and attention to detail while partnering with internal stakeholders to improve workflow consistency. This is on-site position and they pay range is $56,000-$66,000 plus health, dental, vision, disability, 401k with match and PTO. Recent college grads welcome to apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full requisition workflow by monitoring new hiring requests from initial intake through approvals and job publication, escalating bottlenecks when needed to keep searches on schedule.

  • Rewrite and optimize job advertisements to ensure messaging is clear, aligned with company standards, and consistent with applicable employment guidelines.

  • Prepare recurring recruitment reports and talent acquisition metrics that help leadership evaluate pipeline activity, hiring progress, and time-to-fill performance.

  • Maintain complete and accurate data within the applicant tracking system, ensuring requisition details and candidate information are dependable for reporting and operational decisions.

  • Assist with pre-employment and onboarding coordination by preparing offer documentation and initiating background screening steps after candidate selection.

  • Review recruiting processes and communication practices to identify ways to improve speed, consistency, and overall effectiveness across hiring activities.

Requirements

Required skills/abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, candidate-focused tone.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple open requisitions and priorities at once.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheets used for reporting.

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and general recruiting workflows.

  • Ability to handle sensitive candidate and employee information with discretion.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Education and experience

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • 1+ years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or administrative support preferred.
