Full job description

As an Inside Sales supporting Fiplex Communications, you will help accelerate growth by engaging customers remotely and managing FlexBDA opportunities from initial inquiry and qualification through design, estimation, proposal, follow-up, and conversion. This entry-level, customer-facing sales role will interact with customers primarily by phone, email, virtual meetings, and digital sales tools, with occasional in-person visits. You will serve as the primary inside-sales coordinator between our Enterprise customers, design partners, field sales teams, and internal teams, ensuring projects advance efficiently and customer requirements are clearly understood and addressed.

You will report directly to our Director of Sales and work out of our HQ in Atlanta GA, or Houston Texas on a REMOTE work schedule.

In this developmental, quota-carrying inside sales role, you will be responsible for achieving assigned sales, services, pipeline, and activity targets by qualifying inbound demand, conducting targeted outbound follow-up, converting FlexBDA projects, preparing and coordinating estimates, and growing sales of the complete Fiplex scope, including design services, implementation support, passive components, and related solutions. Because this position carries an assigned sales quota, it is eligible to participate in the Sales Incentive Plan in accordance with applicable plan terms. You will use consultative selling skills and disciplined phone, email, and virtual engagement to demonstrate the value of a complete Fiplex solution and guide customers toward the scope that best satisfies their project requirements.

  • Own and deliver against an assigned sales quota, project-conversion goals, services revenue targets, pipeline goals, and daily activity targets while maintaining accurate forecasts and disciplined opportunity management.

  • Respond promptly to inbound leads, customer inquiries, and marketing-generated demand; qualify business needs, project timing, decision criteria, budget, and next steps.

  • Conduct targeted outbound prospecting and follow-up by phone, email, virtual meetings, and approved digital sales tools to develop new contacts, reactivate stalled opportunities, and expand the qualified pipeline.

  • Manage FlexBDA opportunities from qualification through close, coordinating customer requirements, design activities, estimates, proposals, revisions, approvals, and next steps.

  • Serve as the central point of coordination between Enterprise customers, Fiplex design partners, field and channel sales teams, applications engineering, customer service, and other internal stakeholders.

  • Gather and document complete project requirements, including building information, system objectives, timelines, design inputs, passive-component needs, services scope, commercial expectations, and required deliverables.

  • Run and coordinate project estimations, validate assumptions and scope, and support the preparation of accurate, timely, and commercially competitive customer quotes and proposals.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 3 months of entry-level experience gained through internships, co-op assignments, academic projects, customer service, sales support, business development, or related activities; prior full-time sales experience is not required.

  • 3 months of basic knowledge of sales principles and a demonstrated interest in developing skills in inbound lead response, outbound prospecting, lead qualification, consultative selling, pipeline management, virtual customer engagement, and CRM-based follow-up.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

  • One to two years of inside sales or outside sales experience.

  • Exposure to telecommunications, in-building wireless, BDA or DAS solutions, RF systems, construction, electrical contracting, low-voltage systems, fire/life safety, or building technologies. Ability to communicate professionally with contractors, system integrators, building owners, developers, facility teams, enterprise customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities across different stages of the sales funnel.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn CRM, sales-enablement, and FlexBDA application tools.

  • Experience supporting estimates, proposals, design workflows, project documentation, order coordination, or customer implementations.
