Description
We are looking for a Para Professional to join an education-focused team on a contract basis. This role centers on building positive connections with high school students and school staff while helping support student engagement, including work with youth who may need additional encouragement and guidance. The position offers a structured school-based environment with clear expectations, training on internal platforms, and the opportunity to be considered for long-term employment after the initial contract period.
Responsibilities:

Build supportive, attentive relationships with high school students to encourage participation, connection, and day-to-day success.

Communicate regularly with students and teachers to share updates, coordinate needs, and help resolve concerns in a timely manner.

Provide direct assistance to students who may be facing academic, behavioral, or personal challenges, with sensitivity to youth populations needing additional support.

Participate fully in a Monday through Friday onsite schedule during the contract assignment and maintain a reliable presence within the school environment.

Travel with students and staff on school-related outings, including field trips conducted by school bus, when needed.

Use school-provided technology such as a laptop and learn assigned systems including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Paycom, and Microsoft Showcase.

Support guest services and student-facing activities with care, sound judgment, and a service-oriented mindset.

Contribute to a respectful campus culture by collaborating openly with staff and following established expectations and communication practices.
Requirements • Associate degree or an equivalent qualification, or the ability to successfully pass the required assessment.

Valid driver’s license.

Comfort working closely with high school-aged students in an education setting.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with students, teachers, and staff.

Experience in education settings is preferred.

Background supporting at-risk youth is preferred.

Ability to work onsite on a permanent schedule during the contract period, Monday through Friday.
