Full job description
We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our Project Controls team supporting the delivery of large-scale data center projects. This will be an on-site role supporting our data center project in Spartanburg, SC. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting integrated project schedules throughout the entire project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and project closeout. This role supports mission-critical facilities where schedule certainty, systems turnover, and operational readiness are essential to successful project delivery.
This role requires a strong understanding of construction project execution and the ability to effectively coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client teams. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who can translate complex project information into actionable schedule insights, identify risks before they become issues, and drive successful project outcomes.
A key differentiator for this position is the expectation that the scheduler understands not only engineering and construction activities, but also system turnover, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and manage schedules that support projects through final system acceptance, integrated systems testing, commissioning, and successful handover to the client.
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Cloud.
-
Work closely with commissioning managers and startup teams to develop commissioning execution schedules and turnover plans.
-
Analyze schedule impacts resulting from scope, design, procurement, construction, or commissioning changes.
-
Facilitate schedule development, planning, and progress review meetings with project stakeholders.
-
Establish project work breakdown structures (WBS), coding structures, and schedule governance processes.
-
Review and validate schedule logic, durations, constraints, calendars, and critical path activities.
-
Perform progress updates, forecasting, variance analysis, and schedule health assessments.
-
Support Integrated Action Planning (IAP) sessions, pull-planning workshops, and execution planning activities.
-
Generate schedule reports, dashboards, and management presentations for project leadership and clients.
-
Participate in client meetings and planning sessions to communicate schedule performance, risks, and recovery strategies.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
-
Minimum of 8 years of project scheduling experience supporting mission-critical facilities, data centers, advanced technology facilities, or large-scale industrial projects. Data center project experience is strongly preferred.
-
Experience supporting commissioning-intensive projects such as:
-
Data Centers

Advanced Manufacturing Facilities
-
Semiconductor Facilities
-
Power Generation Facilities

-
Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
-
Strong understanding of EPC/EPCM project execution.
-
Experience developing and maintaining resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules.
-
Strong understanding of mechanical completion, systems turnover, commissioning, startup, integrated systems testing, and operational readiness processes.
-
Experience performing critical path analysis and schedule risk assessments.
-
Ability to facilitate planning workshops and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.
-
Proven ability to effectively communicate schedule status, risks, and recommendations to project teams and clients.
Ideally, you'll have:
-
Experience with Acumen Fuse, Power BI, or other schedule analytics and reporting platforms.
-
Experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud.
-
Experience supporting integrated project teams in fast-paced EPC or EPCM environments.
Desired Characteristics
The successful candidate will:
-
Take ownership of project schedules and actively support project execution.
-
Serve as a trusted advisor to project managers, construction managers, commissioning managers, and clients.
-
Understand that project success extends beyond construction completion and includes safe and effective commissioning, startup, and operational readiness.
-
Be capable of identifying risks early and proactively driving mitigation actions.
-
Build strong working relationships across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
-
Balance attention to detail with an understanding of overall project objectives and business drivers.
-
Demonstrate strong facilitation skills and the ability to lead planning discussions.
Why Join Our Team
Our Project Controls professionals play a critical role in the successful delivery of mission-critical data center facilities. Schedulers are expected to do more than update schedules; they are key members of the project leadership team who influence planning, execution, risk management, commissioning readiness, and project outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to support complex and challenging data center projects from early planning through commissioning, integrated systems testing, startup, and client handover. The successful candidate will help drive project execution by providing meaningful schedule insight, facilitating collaboration across disciplines, and supporting the achievement of critical project milestones and operational readiness objectives.
