Full job description

Company Description

Experian is a global data and technology company, powering opportunities for people and businesses around the world. We operate across a range of markets, from financial services to healthcare, automotive, agribusiness, insurance, and many more. Experian invests in people and new advanced technologies to unlock the power of data. We have an amazing team of 25,200 people in 32 countries.

Job Description

This role owns the strategy and roadmap for the products hospitals and health systems use to load, model, and monitor their payer contracts — ensuring reimbursement is calculated accurately, underpayments are caught, and contract terms are applied correctly across the revenue cycle. You’ll own discovery and strategy for the most significant, often multi-threaded opportunities in this space, guide the organization’s largest or most complex engineering teams and bets, and set the standard other Billing Office product managers look to for contract-modeling rigor, requirements quality, and launch excellence. You will report to the VP of Product Management. You will have opportunity to:

  • Own the contract modeling and rate management, fee schedule and contract loading, underpayment and variance detection, contract compliance and renegotiation support, and contract analytics and reporting capabilities hospitals and health systems use to manage payer contracts.
  • Own discovery and strategy for the most significant, often multi-threaded opportunities in contract modeling, fee schedule management, and underpayment detection, sometimes running more than one strategic thread at a time.
  • Set strategic direction and investment priorities at the portfolio level, informed by competitive and market monitoring in contract management.
  • Build and defend business cases with credible cost, revenue, and ROI modeling to secure investment in new contract-modeling and underpayment-detection capabilities, and set the bar for business case quality and outcome-based OKRs across the Billing Office portfolio.
  • Guide the largest, most complex engineering teams and bets within Contract Management, or lead discovery for the area’s most impactful new opportunities, setting the standard for discovery rigor, requirements analysis, and launch excellence.
  • Use AI and prototyping to de-risk ambiguous, cross-team, or regulated contract-modeling bets, coaching others on responsible use in messy, high-stakes contexts.
  • Own the organization’s most strategic customer relationships in Contract Management, leading the most strategic or contentious conversations on contract performance, underpayment recovery, and reimbursement accuracy.
  • Maintain deep fluency in payer contracting practices, reimbursement methodologies, and the regulatory landscape, and help streamline Experian’s internal processes (PLM, compliance, procurement, regulatory, data protection) for launching new payer contracts and rate-related capabilities.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including a track record of owning the largest or most complex product areas within a portfolio.
  • Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, payer contracting, or reimbursement methodology — direct experience with contract modeling, fee schedules, or underpayment detection strongly preferred; familiarity with related regulatory and data-protection requirements (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus.
  • Experience independently guiding large or complex engineering teams, or leading discovery for an organization’s most impactful new bets.
  • Experience building business cases and financial models, with a track record of securing investment through cost, revenue, and ROI analysis.
  • Experience owning and repairing strategic, high-stakes customer relationships.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools spanning chat-based assistants, agentic tools, and dev-integrated/prototyping tools, including coaching others on responsible use.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Reside in, or near the designated Collaboration Hub(s) for this role.
