Position Summary

Citizens Bank is seeking a Program Manager / VP for the Personal Loans business to help drive the next phase of growth by cross selling the product to existing Citizens customers. This role will be reporting into the Head of Personal Loans and support the lending leadership to help achieve business objectives.

The Personal Loans Program Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing initiatives that accelerate volume growth and eligibility expansion for the Personal Loans business but in a responsible way to minimize credit and fraud losses. This individual will partner across Marketing, Product, Analytics, Risk, Finance, and Operations to drive business outcome and will be a liaison between the cross functional stakeholders and the lending business leaders.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has deep experience in the unsecured lending space with expertise in customer acquisition and growth management. The expectation is they will quickly add value by driving results with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a roadmap to ramp Personal Loans volumes from current levels over the next 6 to 12 months

  • Identify and assess opportunities to expand customer segments, acquisition channels, and market reach.

  • Monitor competitive trends and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.

  • Build business cases and strategic recommendations for marketing spend in the business and keep acquisition cost per account in check

  • Support development of annual growth plans and volume forecast.

  • Able to influence and drive budget conversations to help secure funds needed to accomplish growth

  • Partner with Marketing to develop a multi channel strategy across digital, email, direct mail, branch, partnership, and other channels.

  • Develop customer segmentation strategies to improve targeting and engagement.

  • Identify opportunities to increase application volume, approval rates, and funded loan conversion.

  • Routinely review campaign response rates and application funnel performance and translate data into actionable business recommendations.

  • Drive execution against business priorities and ensure achievement of expected outcomes.

  • Develop executive-ready reporting and presentations for leadership teams.

  • Lead strategic initiatives from concept through implementation.

  • Coordinate activities across Marketing, Product, Risk, Finance, Operations, Analytics, and Technology teams.

  • Establish project plans, success metrics, and stakeholder communication plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in consumer lending, marketing strategy, product performance, portfolio management, or related fields.

  • Experience with personal loans, unsecured lending, credit cards, or consumer banking products preferred

  • Experience managing growth initiatives and driving measurable business results.

  • Strong problem-solving, team building, communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to navigate matrix organization and influence stakeholders to drive expected outcomes

  • MBA preferred.

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $150,000 – $165,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
