Description

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Generate revenue from company products and services to meet or exceed individual and department goals.

  • Sell and service assigned accounts while developing new business opportunities.

  • Prospect for new business through outbound calls, email, social media, referrals, and other sales activities.

  • Generate revenue through print advertising, digital advertising, preprints, special sections, promotions, and other company products.

  • Assist outside Account Executives and other team members in servicing customers.

  • Prepare customer proposals, presentations, and advertising recommendations.

  • Review and approve customer proofs while ensuring compliance with established deadlines.

  • Maintain accurate customer account information and activity records within company systems.

  • Complete required CRM entries and sales activity reporting.

  • Ensure advertising is published in accordance with company policies, contracts, rates, and applicable regulations.

  • Follow established credit and collection policies.

  • Assist with the development and coordination of special sections, promotions, and other revenue-generating initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary receptionist for the GILSN and WP&MS offices, including answering and directing calls, greeting visitors, distributing mail and deliveries, and providing general administrative support.

  • Maintain a high level of internal and external customer service.

  • Participate in the Great Game of Business and support company initiatives.

  • Adhere to all company safety standards, including general workplace safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Two years of business, sales, customer service, or related experience preferred.

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Valid driver's license and adhere to company driving eligibility requirements, including proof of auto insurance.

  • Demonstrated alignment with company core values and ESOP culture.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer.

  • Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically.

  • Ability to occasionally move, lift, or carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

  • Occasional travel between company locations as needed.
