  • Manage and/or monitor assigned system performance, reliability, and operational trends.

  • Support timely resolution of system issues by coordinating resources, technical evaluations, and corrective actions.

  • Support ongoing operations through development, review, and approval (as delegated) of system-related work packages, operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and engineering change notices (ECNs).

  • Review and approve system requirements for preventive maintenance, surveillances, and post-maintenance testing.

  • Conduct field walkdowns, develop specifications, and perform or review engineering calculations and analyses.

  • Prepare and present system status updates and technical evaluations to management as required.

  • Sustain productive and positive working relationships with internal customers, external stakeholders, and oversight organizations.

  • Perform other system engineering duties as assigned to support DFLAW operations and mission performance.

Pressure Safety & Integrity Program Duties:

  • Application of ASME B31.3 code requirements for Piping Repairs and Alterations

  • Application of NBIC code requirements for inspection and repairs of pressure vessels

  • Review of work instructions, temporary modifications, and design changes of pressure vessels, pressure piping and components, and boilers.

  • Management of the schedule of pressure vessel and pressure component inspections

  • Management of the Corrosion Monitoring program

  • Support the Water Chemistry program
