Your future role at a glance

  • Location: Pensacola, FL

  • Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Hospital

  • Department: Retail Pharmacy

  • Schedule: Day | Full-time

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Execute complex compounding operations, including nuclear pharmacy procedures and hazardous drug preparations, to maintain high-quality patient safety standards.

  • Manage bulk medication inventory, drug shortages and automated dispensing systems to ensure seamless pharmacy operations and continuous medication availability.

  • Coordinate care across patients, healthcare providers and external pharmacies to optimize therapeutic outcomes and service delivery.

  • Secure critical medication access through benefit investigations, prior authorization management and financial assistance programs.

  • Support advanced care models, patient education and immunization administration to enhance overall clinical team effectiveness.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

  • Hospital experience.
