About Within
Tldr on us: Series B, $91M raised, 7x growth last year. Digital Transformation gave rise to a $600B consulting Industry. AI Transformation will be 10x bigger and will be delivered through agents. We built that. Our AI discovers how work actually happens across every team and application, Structures it into a living Context Graph, and Improves it continuously. ServiceNow mapped 900+ processes in 9 days. DoorDash captured 3,800+ finance operations in 14 weeks. That's not a project. That's compounding intelligence. OpenAI, Google, DoorDash, and Stripe use Within to transform how they transform. We shipped GPT-4 document chat within 12 hours of OpenAI's API launch. We move fast, reward agency, and care deeply about our customers, our team, and our mission. The role Great employee experience starts with the everyday details, the ones people only notice when they're missing. As our Employee Experience Coordinator, you own the day-to-day of Within's SF headquarters, keeping things running smoothly and catching what needs attention before the team ever feels it. You're the first face people see when they walk in, the reason the snacks never run out, and a cultural ambassador who helps set the tone for what it feels like to work here. Alongside that, you'll keep our People systems accurate and help run the events that make Within feel like Within. This is a hands-on, in-office role for someone who takes real pride in owning a space end to end: staying a step ahead so nothing falls through the cracks, keeping things running whether or not you're in the room, and staying calm and prepared if something goes wrong. What you'll do
-
Be the warm, reliable first face people see, greeting visitors, candidates, and new hires, and managing our building visitor portal
-
Make every new hire's first day feel effortless: badge, desk, and access ready before they walk in
-
Be the main point of contact for our everyday workplace vendors (DoorDash, Office Libations, Ready Refresh, and the like) and coordinate catering for weekly and biweekly team meetings
-
Keep the team stocked with what they need: everyday supplies sourced and ordered from the best-value vendors
-
Keep the coffee flowing and the kitchen running, because a good day starts with the small stuff being taken care of
-
Handle mail and shipping daily
-
Be Within's main liaison with the building: our single point of contact with property management and our janitorial and facilities vendors
-
Stay ahead of office operations, catching and resolving day-to-day issues before they become anyone else's problem, and looping in vendors when something needs outside help
-
Keep simple documentation on hand (vendor contacts, ordering cadences, building/facilities procedures, opening/closing checklists) so things run smoothly even when you're out
-
Serve as floor warden, maintain current evacuation plans and stocked emergency kits, and keep broader emergency-readiness in place
-
Keep employee records accurate in our HRIS, Rippling: new hire setup, reporting line and department changes, offboarding data hygiene, and support the People team with routine HR admin and paperwork
-
Help plan and run the moments people look forward to: team happy hours, company breakfasts, and other employee engagement events
What you'll bring
-
1 to 2 years in an employee experience, workplace/office coordinator, facilities, or admin role
-
Genuinely organized: you track a dozen small things at once without dropping any of them
-
A real service mindset: you enjoy making someone else's day a little easier, whether that's their first day or a Tuesday
-
Comfortable managing vendors and getting things done without a lot of hand-holding
-
Sharp attention to detail and a proactive streak: you notice what's about to break before it does, and you don't wait to be asked to fix it
-
A natural problem solver: when something's off, you're already thinking through the fix, not just flagging the issue
-
Clear, friendly communicator, in person and in writing
-
Comfortable picking up new tools, and incorporating AI into your everyday workflow
-
Happy to help plan a good happy hour, but this isn't an events-first role
About our Benefits
-
Equity in addition to competitive cash compensation
-
100% Employer-Paid Medical, Dental & Vision options!
-
Paid Parental Leave
-
$500 Annual Learning Fund
-
$150 Monthly Wellness Fund
-
401k via Betterment
-
Relocation support to San Francisco Bay Area (where applicable)
-
Office-related Perks:
-
BART or Caltrain to the office?: Contribute pre-tax funds to a Parking & Transit account, and you will never be taxed for it!
-
Lunchtime, Leveled Up: Enjoy curated local eats delivered to the office daily to enjoy with the team over an engaging conversation
-
