Job Title: Senior Sourcing AnalystJob Description
The Senior Sourcing Analyst leads strategic sourcing initiatives within a manufacturing environment focused on material handling, conveyor systems, and automation. This role drives cost optimization, enhances supplier performance, mitigates supply risk, and supports procurement excellence across direct materials. The Senior Sourcing Analyst partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to develop and execute sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier agreements, analyze spend data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. This position is well suited for an experienced procurement professional with strong manufacturing sourcing experience, advanced analytical skills, and a proven track record of managing supplier relationships while delivering measurable cost savings.
Responsibilities

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for direct materials within a manufacturing environment, focusing on material handling, conveyor systems, and automation components.

Develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive cost optimization, improve supplier performance, and support overall procurement excellence.

Manage category strategies for key commodities, including analysis of market conditions, supplier capabilities, and long-term sourcing plans.

Lead RFQ and RFP processes from requirements gathering through bid evaluation and supplier selection.

Negotiate supplier agreements, contracts, and pricing to achieve cost reductions and favorable commercial terms while maintaining quality and delivery performance.

Conduct detailed spend analysis, cost modeling, and pricing analysis to identify savings opportunities and support data-driven decision-making.

Manage supplier performance using scorecards, metrics, and regular business reviews to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, cost, and service expectations.

Drive supplier development initiatives to enhance supplier capabilities, improve reliability, and reduce risk across the supply base.

Implement and oversee supplier relationship management practices that foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Support supply risk management by identifying potential risks, recommending mitigation strategies, and implementing corrective action processes when issues arise.

Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing strategies with product design, manufacturing requirements, and financial objectives.

Contribute to cost reduction initiatives by identifying and executing opportunities in pricing, value engineering, and design-to-cost projects.

Utilize advanced Excel and data analysis techniques to build models, dashboards, and reports that support sourcing decisions and performance tracking.

Work within ERP systems to manage procurement data, supplier information, and transactional activities related to sourcing and materials management.

Support continuous improvement efforts in procurement processes, policies, and tools to enhance efficiency, compliance, and value creation across the supply chain.
Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.

Proven experience in the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on direct material sourcing.

Demonstrated expertise in procurement and strategic sourcing, including category management and supplier negotiations.

Hands-on experience with RFQ and RFP management, contract management, and supplier development.

Strong background in cost reduction initiatives and supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.

Advanced analytical skills, including spend analysis, cost modeling, and pricing analysis using Excel.

Experience managing supplier performance through scorecards, metrics, and structured performance reviews.

Proficiency in supplier relationship management and supplier performance management.

Experience with risk management and corrective action processes in a supply chain or procurement context.

Proficiency with ERP systems for procurement and materials management.

Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Port Clinton, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $77736.53 - $89397.01/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Company benefit package will be provided to candidates who are interested.
