Full job description

Description

Tech-SC keeps Amazon's technology infrastructure running, ready, and cost-efficient across the full asset lifecycle. We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager III to build the economic model that proves it.

You will design and own the model that quantifies the value Tech-SC delivers that a third party can't match: uptime, readiness, and capital efficiency. You will turn "what is this worth to Amazon" into a defensible number leadership and partner business units rely on to make sourcing and investment decisions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design and model the Tech-SC supply chain: determine what connections should exist and how capital and capacity are assigned across business units, rather than operating within the chain.

  • Own fully-loaded cost-to-serve allocation to the customer grain, with transparent, defensible assumptions.

  • Agree baselines and attribution rules with partner business-unit finance teams, then report value enabled versus value realized so the numbers reconcile to their books.

  • Build the comparison that answers "why Tech-SC", grounded in incentive and capability, not per-unit price alone.

  • Translate the model into clear narratives and the few numbers that drive leadership decisions, working from strategy set with your manager and director.

  • Partner across finance, planning, and customer organizations to source the data the model depends on.

A day in the life

You move between building and defending numbers. A morning might be spent pulling cost and demand data with a planning partner and pressure-testing a cost-to-serve allocation; an afternoon translating that into a one-page value story for a business-unit review. You work closely with finance partners to align baselines, with supply chain planners on capacity and positioning, and with your leadership to shape strategy. You reason about trade-offs first and allocate costs second. Your output is the analytical backbone the organization uses to decide where Tech-SC competes and how it proves its value.

About the team

Technology Supply Chain (Tech-SC) provides full-lifecycle, global technology fulfillment for Amazon's Stores and AWS data centers: planning, sourcing, assembly, configuration, distribution, repair, and asset management. We combine owned Rapid Asset Deployment facilities, integrated technology platforms, and deep lifecycle expertise to deliver speed, cost, and quality that fragmented external providers can't. Our Program Enablement team builds the mechanisms, models, and standards that let the broader organization operate and scale. We value clear writing, defensible analysis, and intellectual honesty about what we know and what we don't.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
