Established in 2014, Xcelerate Physical Therapy is an outpatient physical therapy clinic that specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine, and pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation. Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide per diem athletic training coverage as needed to support team operations and athlete care

  • Perform comprehensive injury assessments and evaluations using appropriate clinical examination techniques

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for injured athletes

  • Provide immediate emergency medical care and injury management in accordance with established protocols

  • Collaborate with team physicians, coaching staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal athlete health and safety

  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and documentation for all athlete evaluations and treatments

  • Design and implement injury prevention programs and conditioning protocols to enhance athlete performance and reduce injury risk

  • Educate athletes on proper injury prevention techniques, recovery strategies, and return-to-play guidelines

  • Manage athletic training equipment, supplies, and facilities to ensure they meet safety and operational standards

  • Monitor athlete health status and provide ongoing support during practices, competitions, and team events

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies

  • Communicate effectively with athletes, coaching staff, and medical personnel regarding injury status and treatment progress

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) license in Pennsylvania

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Athletic Training program

  • Current CPR/AED certification and First Aid certification

  • Knowledge of injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation protocols

  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
