Full job description
MPLOYER NAME : Crucible ETN LLC WORKSITE ADDRESS: 2421 West Old Andrew Johnson Highway, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871. Position requires travel to the Gordonsville, TN mine facility up to 25% of the time as required by business needs. JOB DUTIES: Responsible for all design, optimization, standardization and monitoring of primary and secondary ventilation systems across operations; develop mine ventilation standards and guidelines for the operations; generate and review primary and secondary ventilation designs and continuously improve designs; monitor primary and secondary ventilation performances in accordance with regulatory requirements and site standards and communicate results to the team; provide training to engineers for basic ventilation design and monitoring of primary and secondary systems; provide short to long term mining strategy for optimized ventilation; update mine evacuation and ventilation plans in a timely manner upon qualifying events; initiate improvement projects to optimize ventilation practices; ensure that ventilation QA/QC practices are maintained as per the standards; ensure ventilation surveys are conducted as per required company and regulatory standards; ensure that stope notes and stopes reconciliations are conducted as per the standards; work collaboratively with geological, technical, and operational teams to ensure plans are met or exceeded; review other designs as required by the Chief Mining Engineer; work closely with Mine Operations, Geology, Survey, Geotech and planners when generating designs; undertaking site visits to ensure that designs are practical; attend safety meetings and demonstrate safely leadership; assist in development of SOPs and JHA procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in mine engineering or a related mining field and three (3) years of experience in underground ventilation planning, design, and monitoring in hard rock mining and long hole stoping. Position also requires experience using VentSim software (or equivalent) and primary and secondary ventilation systems; and ability to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes. Position requires travel to the Gordonsville, TN mine facility up to 25% of the time as required by business needs.
