The Opportunity:

We're seeking a dedicated Security Specialist with property and logistic experience to join our team supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City. In this position, most of your time (80%) will be responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics requirements and (20%) ensuring daily security checks and compliance according to government regulations, corporate policies, and industry’s best practices. You will be the point of contact for all security matters, work closely with leadership to safeguard sensitive information and assets, and maintain a secure working environment.

Responsibilities:

As Logistician, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Receives supplies, materials, and equipment and compares against packing slips to ensure quantity and quality is correct and undamaged

  • Arrange and Prepare products for shipment using most economical and efficient packing and shipping methods to ensure safe delivery

  • Performs timely and efficient movement of inventory and error-free entry of all related transactions into ERP/ MRP system

  • Ensure materials are stored and moved safely within the facility

  • Maintain clean and organized inventory stock rooms

  • Effective communication with internal and external shareholders

  • Works independently with limited supervision

  • Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support overall logistics operations

  • As the Security Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Process incoming/outgoing visitor access requests (VARs)

  • Create and maintain strong client relationship

  • Participate in annual self-inspections

  • Maintain personnel security records through ISMS

  • Conduct initial and annual refresher training

  • Maintain document control

  • Investigate and report security violations

  • Practical knowledge of and experience with DISS

  • Staying up to date with the latest SCI handling procedures and regulations

Qualifications:

Required:

  • (TS) Top Secret Security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility

  • BA/BS or equivalent years of experience

  • 3+ years of relevant industrial security experience, including:

  • Firm understanding of security administrative processes and the ability to brief incoming/outgoing government and contractor personnel

  • Solid background in personnel security experience

  • Contract security experience

  • VAR processing

  • Access list maintenance

  • Familiarity with working in a classified workspace/SCIF

  • Ability to provide security briefings/refresher training

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$61,600 - $129,300
