Summary
You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the COMMANDER NAVY INSTALLATION COMMAND (CNIC) of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY PANAMA CITY FL.
Duties
- You will plan, coordinate and evaluate logistical actions in support of the Fuels mission.
- You will correlate various variables into a cohesive daily operations plan to assure that fuel support is provided to meet customer needs.
- You will schedule customer Petroleum, Oils and Lubricant (POL) orders and perform quality control of daily physical inventory reports.
- You will determine manpower requirements needed to meet daily operational plans.
- You will maintain fuel accounting records, overseeing the processing of all issue, receipts, and transfers of petroleum products.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience identifying, and integrating logistical support activities into comprehensive operations plans to ensure the timely and cost-efficient delivery of supplies and petroleum products. Experience overseeing the receipt of petroleum products and maintaining strict accountability of fuel inventories across multiple facilities. Experience identifying logistical problems, adjusting plans and schedules as necessary, and allocating resources (manpower, materials, facilities, and services) to overcome operational, transportation, and financial reporting challenges. Experience utilizing inventory management and logistics programs to evaluate operational information and draw actionable conclusions. Experience preparing required documentation, answering inquiries, and ensuring compliant fuels accounting procedures to support financial and operational audits. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree. OR Obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
