This role supports complex investment structures and works closely with internal professionals and outside advisors to deliver accurate, coordinated tax reporting for partnerships and their owners.

As part of a small, experienced tax team, this position will oversee sophisticated partnership matters, including investment partnerships, partnership allocations, and Section 704(c) considerations. It is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who values technical depth, thoughtful collaboration, discretion, and a sustainable pace while serving multigenerational clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, review, and oversight of federal and state partnership tax returns and related filings

  • Analyze and review partnership allocations, including capital account maintenance and the tax consequences of complex investment activity

  • Apply and document Section 704(c) principles, including allocation methods, built-in gain or loss considerations, and related partner reporting

  • Support tax compliance and planning for investment partnerships, closely held entities, and other complex partnership structures

  • Review Schedules K-1 and coordinate the timely collection and delivery of tax information

  • Research partnership tax issues and clearly communicate conclusions to internal stakeholders and outside advisors

  • Monitor deadlines, estimates, extensions, and filings while maintaining high standards of accuracy and documentation

  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the client-office tax function

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced tax degree a plus

  • CPA preferred

  • 5+ years of partnership tax compliance and consulting experience, ideally in public accounting, private wealth, investment management, or a client-office environment

  • Demonstrated experience with investment partnerships, partnership allocations, and Section 704(c)

  • Strong understanding of Subchapter K, partner capital accounts, Schedules K-1, and federal and state partnership tax reporting

  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines

  • Professional presence, sound judgment, and a demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and discretion
