Structural Foam/Injection Molding Assembly Lead -- LOTIS Employer: Vantage Plastics Location: Bay City, Michigan Facility: Lotis Technologies ### Position Summary Vantage Plastics is seeking an Assembly Team Leader for its Lotis Technologies manufacturing operations in Bay City, Michigan. The Assembly Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality standards. This position provides direct leadership to production team members, including directing daily activities, monitoring performance, addressing production concerns, and motivating employees to achieve operational goals while maintaining positive team morale. ### Duties and Responsibilities - Review daily production requirements, safety concerns, and emerging operational issues while identifying appropriate solutions. - Schedule team members and production jobs to meet manufacturing requirements. - Identify and implement improvements to production processes and operational efficiency. - Monitor team performance against production plans and implement corrective actions, including disciplinary measures when necessary. - Make production-related decisions involving machine setups, tooling, materials, manufacturing methods, staffing requirements, and machine selection. - Review work instructions with team members daily to ensure compliance with production and quality standards. - Track employee attendance and timekeeping, addressing attendance issues according to company policy. - Ensure employees have the necessary tools, equipment, and resources to complete assigned work. - Report equipment maintenance concerns and repair needs to the Maintenance Department and Production Manager. - Conduct regular employee performance reviews and provide feedback to team members. - Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the department. - Maintain safe and efficient production operations while meeting customer quality requirements. ### Required Skills and Abilities - Ability to maintain a safe workplace in compliance with MIOSHA regulations and company safety standards. - Ability to ensure production meets established specifications and customer requirements. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and develop production employees. - Ability to promote teamwork and support employee skill development. - Understanding of manufacturing performance metrics. - Ability to identify production issues and implement corrective actions. ### Education and Experience - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Five or more years of job-related experience in a production environment. - At least one year of supervisory experience. ### Supervisory Responsibilities Yes.
