JOB SUMMARY

Develop and maintain scalable financial, operational, and revenue cycle reporting tools that improve decision-making across the organization. Supports budget development and variance analysis related to revenue cycle, productivity, operational expenses, capital expenditures audit, and compliance.

PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS includes the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop, maintain, and oversee annual operating and capital budgets.

  • Prepare and distribute comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages for leadership review.

  • Conduct detailed variance analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Perform revenue cycle reporting to support operational and financial performance.

  • Develop and maintain productivity reporting tools and metrics to monitor workforce efficiency and resource utilization.

  • Create and manage interactive dashboards that provide meaningful business insights and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting and analytical systems.

  • Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.

  • Train and support managers in the effective use of financial reports and tools.

  • Perform financial analyses for special projects, business plans, strategic initiatives, and financial projections.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of scalable, standardized reporting processes, analytical tools, and chart of accounts structures.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • BS degree or higher in accounting, finance or healthcare management.

Training and Experience

  • Three to five years of related financial planning and analysis experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop scalable reporting and analytics solutions, improve financial processes, and support organizational decision-making through data-driven analysis

  • Understanding of the business model represented by the hospital or other healthcare industry, including third party payment models.

  • Proven inter-personnel skills in working cross-functionally and ability to translate financial information to non-financial users.

  • Systems experience including Meditech Expanse, Meditech Business and Clinical Analytics, UKG, Excel, and SQL.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Healthcare financial certification preferred, such as Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) or Certified Specialist Accounting & Finance (CSAF) preferred.
